FOAMY RESIDUE NOW FLOWING IN THE CREEK ADJACENT TO SCOTT PENDERY’S FACTORY OF POISONOUS FRACKING CHEMICALS

As you may now know, back on October 3rd the world changed for those living in Ellis county and in the beautiful town of  Waxahachie. That is when the Scott Pendery’s Magnablend factory of poisonous fracking chemicals exploded into the lives of those living around and beyond the site.

While Scott has muddled around and refused to take ownership of the crisis and the after effects, residents continue to become ill, elected officials continue to stammer and run from questions from residents. Meanwhile, in a small lake close to the site, over 1800 fish died within hours, residents complained of illness and the company is now trying to relocate next to a dairy farm. Fracking chemicals next door to a dairy farm.

The after effects continue with the rain that has soaked our area recently and now the poisons have apparently run into the area creeks. Are there fracking chemicals in this body of water? Will the TCEQ do it’s job to investigate? See the video shot below.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ – Leading U.S. medical experts urged today that the rapid expansion of unconventional natural gas drilling (known as “hydrofracking”) for natural gas extraction be paused so that necessary research can be done into the potential harmful effects on human health.

The comments were made in statements delivered today at a conference sponsored by the nonprofit Physicians Scientists and Engineers for Healthy Energy (PSE) and the Mid-Atlantic Center for Children’s Health and the Environment (MACCHE).

The major PSE/MACCHE event brought together public health experts, physicians, epidemiologists and other experts from various research areas to address the public health aspects of unconventional natural gas drilling.

In opening remarks, Adam Law, M.D., Weill Cornell Medical College, and the founding board member of Physicians Scientists and Engineers for Healthy Energy, said: “When it comes to hydrofracking, our guiding principle for public policy should be the same as the one used by physicians: ‘First, do no harm.’ There is a need for scientific and epidemiologic information on the health impacts of fracking. Frankly, no one should be unleashing even more fracking before we have the scientific facts. There are health care needs in various gas drilling communities and these must be met. The reality is that industry has not done nearly enough to finance the needed research effort.”

Another speaker, Jerome Paulson, M.D., George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, and the director of the Mid-Atlantic Center for Children’s Health and the Environment, commented: “There are a lot of questions related to the human health and ecological impacts of this process of unconventional gas extraction that need to be answered. The answers to the questions about the human and ecosystem health impacts here will only come from scientific research. We are here today to explore what research needs to be done and what protocols and processes should be implemented … I recommend that the drilling and energy companies fund an independent foundation that would support research related to human and ecosystem health… I also recommend that the drilling and extraction companies reveal the full description of all chemicals used and the quantities of those chemicals used to the public.”

The conference – titled “Epidemiologic and Public Health Considerations of Shale Gas Production: The Missing Link” – took place at the Waterview Conference Center, Arlington, VA.

The January 9th conference arose from a suggestion made by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) to investigate the methodological aspects of creating long- and short-term epidemiological studies of the health implications of hydrofracking. The January 2012 conference will address the complex methodological issues associated with the needed research, helping to coordinate studies that address industrial, geologic, toxicological, epidemiological, and health care factors.

Conference highlights included the following:

“Chemicals and Pathways of Exposure Associated with the Development of Shale Gas Plays”;
“Evaluating Potential Health Impacts of Natural Gas Development in a Residential Community using Health Impact Assessment”; and
“State of the Law: Federal, State and Local Regulation of Hydrofracturing.”

The main keynote speaker was Dr. Vikas Kapil, DO, MPH, chief medical officer, National Center for Environmental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. In the afternoon, three technical workshops addressed the following topics: “Issues in Epidemiologic Methodology”; “Issues in Surveying Environmental and Human Health Impacts”; and “Issues in Clinical Services & Treatment”.

Waxahachie, Texas is the home of the terrible fracking chemical plant explosion that occured late last year when the Magnablend  factory blew apart sending fracking contaminants far and wide. Since the explosion, residents have reported chronic illness and after affects. Scott Pendery, head of the plant has always been reluctant from the beginning to confess as to what was really in the plant before it exploded.

Waxhachie, home of gingerbread homes, bluebonnets, and good folks has been rocked by this ordeal of gas industry related mayhem and would like to go back to their lives as they knew it.

Fat chance.

Pendery’s attitude, like the rest of the gas industry is to say as little as possible and to only talk to the public infrequently and off camera. Nothing he has said has given comfort to the residents as many have sought treatment for some of the mysterious illnesses being reported.

There are reports that a class action law suit is being prepared by some of those affected against Magnablend in order to pay for damages to their lives.

Now, that Magnablend has contaminated the land around the burnt out plant, and now that residents are reporting illness, the plant is considering a relocation to the old Super Colider site in Waxahachie. The problem is that the site is located next door to the Fri-Tex Dairy Farm.

In order for the Scott Pendery, the head contaminator of Magnablend to relocate his factory of death to this new location, he must get permission to raise the weight limit on the road that would access the plant. By raising the weight limits on the road, then you can have the required trucks to transport the loads of chemicals and poisons that are needed to frack.

That approval process requires a meeting with the Ellis County Commissioners on Monday, January 23 at the Ellis County Commissioner offices.

If they raise the weight limit on the road it will because the Magnablend people have financially influenced those on the Ellis County Commissioners Court. Citizens have stated that if this occurs that citizens will organize efforts to have the commissioners removed from office via future elections.

January 23 will tell the future of Waxahachie and it’s residents. Gingerbread, milk, and chemicals anyone?
