GASLAND, The Movie

August 2, 2010

This summer, HBO has been showing the film documentary, GASLAND. If you missed it, don’t worry. You can go to the website and check out some really valuable information.

The director Josh Fox like many people affected by this unbelievable situation, was just minding his own business living his life, when one day, he got a proposal from a gas company. The letter told him that they wanted his land to drill on and in return would gift him $100,000. This was “family” land. His land. His water. His little part of heaven on earth. Instead of running to the bank, he decided to go on  a quest of sorts throughout the country. He wanted to know, why the gas company thought that his land was so valuable that they would do what they did. The film is his quest.

If you have ON DEMAND, he may still be able to find it. If not, Josh is planning on bringing the film to Dallas for everyone to see. We will keep you updated as to the when, where, and how to’s. We should know something soon. You can find excerpts from the film on YOUTUBE or in his PBS NOW interview.
