Good News! Dallas News!

December 13, 2010

MORE EVENTS AND MEETINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT

TUES, DEC. 14/CADDO LAKE – Come hear Rick Lowerre of the Caddo Lake
Institute, speak about the beauty and the challenges of Caddo Lake, the
only natural lake and internationally recognized wetland in Texas. If
you’ve ever been to this wonderful, historic lake and park it is scenic
with a bayou, cypress-sprawling beauty. Yet this lake faces challenges
by invasive species and neighboring polluting sources as well. Learn
more about Caddo Lake and the Caddo Lake Institute, founded by Don
Henley of the Eagles. The Sierra Club meeting is at the Center for
Spiritual Living at 4801 Spring Valley, or Spring Valley/Inwood in
North Dallas. Meet/Greet at 6:30. Meeting at 7:00 pm. Open to all, need
not be a member to come.

WED, DEC. 15 – TCEQ/RAILROAD COMMISSION TESTIMONY in Austin at the
Capital. If you plan to testify, the first thing to do when you arrive
at the Capitol is to register in E1.036 of Capitol Extension. Register

to gather with others from around the state. (see the attached document

Madeleine’s at Preston/Forest at 11930 Preston Rd. from 10-11:30 am.
Rita Beving will be talking about the TransCanada pipeline with highly
corrosive,
highly toxic crude which may be piped from the Canadian border all the
way to the Texas gulf if we don’t act quickly to stop it. All are

is going on and what immediate actions we can take to stop the
dirtiest fossil fuel from coming through Texas threatening landowners
and water sources.

SAT., JAN. 9 – TALK about NETMETERING and CLEAN ENERGY at the Trinity
