Lil’ bit of Heaven scheduled for Hell

February 8, 2011

When thousands thought that they had bought a lil’ bit of heaven, they had no idea that the City of Dallas has provided an avenue that could turn that area into a living Hell. Take a look at this video depicting what these residents currently have out in the Joe Pool Lake and Mt. Creek Lake vicinity. If the City of Dallas gets their way by granting approval to XTO/Exxon to drill for shale gas, then that heavenly place will no longer exist.

One application at Mt. Creek has been deferred at the Dallas City Council until October 27, 2011. The second application at Joe Pool Lake comes before the City of Dallas Planning Commission on Thursday, February 17th at 1 pm.

Just think how a $34 million dollar down payment to the City of Dallas without you knowing about it could mean that you and your family could become ‘collateral damage’. So, how important is your life?  A total of 26 shale gas wells in your air, in your water, and in your lives. You decide. Then you can call the City of Dallas:214-670-0776

The irony? Pat Summerall lives in Southlake and is IN FAVOR of natural gas drilling in our city.

Is this some kind of dream or nightmare? This land is polluted West Dallas-land which is about to become much more toxic.
I would imagine the land is quite cheap overall, and thus appealing to developers.
Stay out of the water and don’t dig in your yard, is all I can say…I would also stay inside on a windy day.
Beautiful area though-polluted by the military and now gas drilling.
    Very, very lovely area otherwise.
