Day Four of Chesapeake contaminated air spill, residents sick, local media told to keep quiet
Local media has been given the red light on covering day four of an air venting operation in Arlington, Texas by Chesapeake Energy. Our contacts have told us that no one has from Chesapeake,TCEQ, or local media have responded to reports of the contaminatedair spill or the reported illnesses from residents in Arlington.
TXSHARON has been receiving numerous calls and emails from area residents who have been suffering from the ill effects as a result of the air spill. They have told Sharon that the City of Arlington and Chesapeake have ignored all calls and not responded to any emergency notifications. TCEQ has refused to come out to the site.
Some have thought that the process known as ‘green completion’ was being practiced but due to the large amounts of illness reports, there has been speculation that the toxicity of the air spill is great enough to cause some of the reported ill effects.
TXSHARON along with staff is keeping close tabs on the situation and will continue to update the situation.

Correction it doesn’t matter if you call from a lan line or a cell phone. “Some” TCEQ investigators will not come out unless the odor nusiance is at a residence. If you are sitting at a red light or pumping gas and get “gassed” they consider that a mobile incident and may not come to investigate. I called in an odor for a handicapped resident the other day by the Arlington Compressor Station when the Handitran passed by it and stunk out the folks. I spoke with a female rep who “was” interested in investigating, where as this Fulson site has been having odors on the service road and at the gasoline station depending on the winds direction. Got a few more days yet to flow back…if anyone wants to go and put their health a stake, go to Sublett and 360 and take a big whiff.
Yeah, thanks Kim. If you drive through the area and are stricken by the noxious odors, too bad because TCEQ will only take complaints from residents. They answer all phone calls no matter if they are from a cell or land line.
Oh, and yesterday was day 4. Today is day 5.
You do realize the pictures you took & the video on this site are recording steam coming off those temporary tanks right?
Prove that it is not contaminated. I’ll put your stats up against sick people in Arlington.
If they are contaminating the air, I’m not sure that video found the source.
Most importantly, is that Aubrey’s rig has his company’s name on it.
They can tell everyone what it is, and where it’s from. But of course, they would have to prove it.
